Frequently asked

How long does a breast lift last?

Typical longevity is 10–15 years before patients consider revision. Pregnancy, weight changes, and aging gradually relax the lift. Internal-bra techniques and ongoing weight stability extend longevity.

Will I have scars after a breast lift?

Yes — every lift leaves scars. Crescent and donut techniques leave the smallest scars; lollipop adds a vertical line; anchor adds a horizontal under-breast line. Scar quality depends on healing, technique, sun protection, and silicone sheeting.

Can I breastfeed after a breast lift?

Many women can. Lifts that preserve the nipple-areola attachment to underlying tissue (most modern techniques) tend to preserve breastfeeding ability. Talk specifically about this during consultation if it's a priority.

Lift only vs. lift with implants?

Lift only repositions existing breast tissue without adding volume. Aug-mastopexy adds implants — appropriate if you want both lift and added size or upper-pole fullness. Combined procedures have higher revision rates than either alone.

What's the recovery time?

5–7 days off desk work. Surgical bra 24/7 for 4–6 weeks. No upper-body workouts for 6–8 weeks. Final shape at 3–6 months.
